 Explore the tastes of our area's evolving culinary scene! The 2018 series of Simmer & Sift features four separate nights with four special restaurants, each a unique and highly lauded addition to Tampa Bay's culinary offerings.  Enjoy food demonstrations and signature cocktails throughout the series, designed to complement the tasting menus offered by our innovative participating chefs.

 For Wednesday June 27, we present Callaloo, led by Tampa native Chef Gary Moran.

 Callaloo, located in The Deuces’ historic Manhattan Casino,  blends the best of two worlds, showcasing the unique tastes and fresh flavors of foods indigenous to Florida and the Caribbean. Chef Moran is the former Chef d’ Cuisine at the famed Tavern on the Green in New York City. After stints commanding his own kitchen as the executive chef for Datz and The Mermaid Tavern, the award-winning chef opened South Tampa’s highly popular Wimauma restaurant where he continued to explore the rich culinary history of the South, a tradition he has embraced with Callaloo.

Tickets include the cooking demonstration, tastings of the chef's creation, a signature cocktail, and a recipe card to take home to create your own masterpieces.  Cash bar will also be available.
