Join us for a reading of Afrofuturism fiction by author Tenea D. Johnson from her latest book, Blueprints for Better Worlds (May 2020) and forthcoming collection, Broken Fevers. Drawing inspiration from the MFA’s special exhibition, Derrick Adams: Buoyant, Johnson will read selections that are centered on joy, victory and moments of beauty. Her short work appears in anthologies like Mothership: Tales from Afrofuturism and Beyond, Sycorax’s Daughters, and Blue and Gray: Ghost Stories from the Civil War.
